Written by the professors of Law, Universidad Austral de Chile, Eduardo Marchant and Pablo Marshall (also adjunct researcher at MICARE). The document «Notes for the recognition of people with disabilities and older people in the Constitution» was delivered by MICARE to the Constitutional Convention of Chile.

The notes include 3 central themes:

• The welfare approach as the paradigm to overcome.
• The rights approach as the paradigm to establish.
• Proposal of contents to address in the constitutional provisions for the elderly and people with disabilities.
