At the Millennium Institute for Care Research (MICARE), we are glad to announce the publication of our first Public Annual Report, a document that explains all the advances and milestones our institute has achieved in 2021.
MICARE is a centre of excellence in frontier research, funded by the National Research and Development Agency (ANID) through its Millennium programme.
“We feel very proud for the achievements obtained during the first year of MICARE. We advanced in the development of scientific knowledge, connection with the society and inputs in public policy. We will continue to work with effort and perseverance in favor of dependent elderly people, people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and those who care for them or accompany them, emphasizing in participatory and inclusive research.”

In the document, we highlight the publication of 15 scientific articles in prestigious international journals and more than 60 appearances in national and international media for the dissemination of scientific knowledge to large audiences.
In addition, we feature the creation of the Foundation for Care Research, the implementation of our certified Easy-To-Read website, and several activities of public impact with public agencies, civil society and the Constitutional Convention of Chile.
