Juanita Hoe is a nurse but also a specialist in dementia and a professor at the Geller Institute of Aging and Memory, University of West London, United Kingdom.
Over the years, the MICARE senior researcher has studied dementia and the importance of caregivers for people living with this condition, as well as the influence of environment, care and psychosocial factors.
The academic visited Chile invited by the Millennium Institute for Care Research, MICARE, and the Doctorate in Nursing Science UNAB, within the framework of the FONDECYT project No. 1191726, with financing from the MIDAP Institute.
On Monday, November 21, Dr. Hoe visited Andrés Bello University for the first time to present her international conference titled “Psychosocial interventions in dementia: an evidence-base” in front of specialists, students, and professionals. for practice”.
The presentation, which was also broadcast live through our YouTube channel, had simultaneous translation into Spanish for her attendees, and could be understood in both English and Spanish.
