Urban infrastructures for people with visual impairment

Description

Fondecyt Postdoctoral Project led by Daniel Muñoz, young researcher at MICARE.

The research proposes to study ethnographically the ways in which care can emerge in relationships of interdependence, through the daily journeys of people with visual impairment. With this, it seeks to explore how interdependent care practices enable mobility.

Different methods will be used: in-depth interviews, accompanied trips with audiovisual recording, audio-diaries generated by the participants themselves, and participatory workshops.

These workshops will be a fundamental tool to attend to a central axis of the project: collaboratively rethinking the infrastructures, where the project participants will be analytical collaborators and co-creators of the project.
