Our researchers Marcela Tenorio, Andrés Aparicio and Paulina Arango had an outstanding visit to the International Convention of Psychological Science (ICPS) that took place this year in the city of Brussels, Belgium.

The group of MICARE researchers was one of the few Latino groups to attend the meeting, and they were able to present the three studies they are working on in relation to interactions, mental health, and parenting in families that have sons or daughters with intellectual disabilities, giving know some advances and perspectives. For Marcela Tenorio, alternate director of MICARE, this “was an opportunity to learn about the latest thematic and methodological advances and be inspired by them.”

After their successful passage through the congress, the team traveled to Metz, where they met with the researcher Juan Pablo Robledo and his team from the University of Lorraine. For the alternate director of MICARE, this is a great opportunity: “We have started a conversation that we hope will lead us to advance an already established collaboration. With this group we will advance research, as well as the creation of a corridor that allows transit of students and academics between universities.

We congratulate the researchers who traveled and showed that world-class knowledge is produced in Chile!
