Alzheimer’s prevention starts today

By Gabriela Campillo F.

On September 21 we commemorate World Alzheimer’s Day. At MICARE, we believe it is essential to share information about it, for those who live with this disease, their families, support networks, and the population in general.

According to WHO figures, Alzheimer’s is the most common form of dementia and may contribute to 60 to 70% of cases.

Contrary to popular belief, dementia is not a normal part of ageing and does not exclusively affect older people. (See more information here).

We invite you to find out more information in this infographic made by the Regional Technical Committee on Dementia of the Metropolitan Region, to which we belong. This instance arises under the auspices of the Health Seremi of the Metropolitan Region.
