Between Wednesday, October 26 and Friday, October 28; the Chilean Congress of Psychology was held at the University of Valparaíso. On its sixteenth version, this year’s slogan was “Towards the Construction of an Interdisciplinary Psychology”; theme that was explored in presentations, research projects, book presentations, conferences and others throughout the week.
The event, carried out by the School of Psychology in the Faculty of Social Sciences of the UV, was attended by researchers and scientists from both the national and international spheres. Within them, three of our MICARE experts had the opportunity to talk in two presentations.
On October 26, MICARE’s associate researcher Vanessa Vega (PUCV Pedagogy academic and director of the PUCV Accessibility and Inclusion Nucleus) and Félix González (postgraduate student) spoke about the “New interests in intellectual disability: independent living, self-determination and self-care”.
Later, on October 27, Claudia Miranda, MICARE’s director (UNAB Nursing academic and MIDAP researcher), presented on “Informal care for the elderly with dementia in Chile: evidence and pending challenges”.
